“But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.” Matthew 6:6
The story behind this poem is very simple. It is meant to target those that have been seeking God in private. It is speaking to those that have been sacrificing when no one else has recognized their hard-work. I’m sure that all of us have been in those shoes before.
I love what the scripture says, that when we seek God in private he will honor us. Every fruit and every offering that we present onto him, he will honor us. Why? Because he sees everything! That is what I love about God. He is not blind to anything that we do or what we have experienced.
I feel like there have been many of you that you feel like you’ve been overlooked. You feel like you’re under a shadow and like no one has been seeing your tremendous efforts. Maybe you’re working hard in your job and you still haven’t received a promotion. Maybe you’re diligent at home and you’re kids don’t acknowledge what you do for them. I feel to tell someone that God sees everything, and God is preparing a big reward in heaven. He sees your prayers, your fasting, your petitions, and so much more.
Therefore, rejoice! Because what people don’t see, God always does. His sight is what matters the most!
